Our Team
Northern Reliability’s team includes engineers, project managers, and field service personnel who have decades of experience in the design, installation, production, commissioning, and servicing of power systems in the most remote and harsh areas for the world. Our engineers have designed, installed, and commissioned systems to operate in climates ranging from the frigid cold and high winds of Antarctica to the extreme heat and humidity of the Amazon. Northern Reliability has the experience and expertise to develop a solution for your energy needs, whether remote, unmanned, or grid-tied. Our team will provide our extensive experience in the areas of site analysis, feasibility studies, system engineering and design, equipment procurement, system construction and site preparation, installation, commissioning, staff training, and system monitoring and maintenance.
Our History
Northern Reliability was founded in the winter of 2007 by former employees of Northern Power Systems, a company with more than thirty years of experience building ultra-reliable integrated power systems for the world’s most remote environments. In 2007, Northern Power made the decision to shift its business exclusively into large-scale wind turbine manufacturing, leaving its remote power customers without a source for new products and servicing. Northern Reliability was formed to fill this void, providing a seamless transition for customers seeking Northern Power’s—and now Northern Reliability’s—best-in-class remote power systems and engineering services.*
Before moving exclusively into the manufacture of large wind turbines, Northern Power had installed more than 1,000 systems for customers in more than 40 countries on all 7 continents. Northern Reliability now services many of those customers, and continues to design, build, install, and maintain the same high-quality remote power systems that made Northern Power Systems a leader in the field.

Although Northern Reliability took over Northern Power System’s remote power business, the two companies are separate and distinct legal entities.
